Man has always wanted to be like God; to be perfect and blameless and always right. He has sought to be powerful and almighty. But no man till date has ever lived beyond his years. Death comes as the final blow to all our pride. God knows that we are dust. If we really knew ourselves, we would know how weak and powerless we really are. The psalmist said, ” As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.” Psalm 103:13,14. There are going to be times and there may not be a few when we fail, but God pities those who come to Him. God has mercy on us and on our frailties that is why we are able to stand before Him. The path to Truth is strewn with the failures of His saints. The vessels of clay are so fragile that our only hope is to lean fully on Him.
